Just one little last-minute post before I leave…

This Medusa image is from Simply B stamps.  The challenge was to use this stamp and create a card using only, cream, black and one other color- not counting face and hair colors.

Come and join us.  Request to join Simply B stamps on Facebook here and ask Betty or Corinne for the image.  It is free if you do the challenge.  They are a great group of gals. The challenge is here.

I used Bo Bunny papers MAMA-RAZZi2. and Studio112 bling.  Copics, Y21,26, G94,99, t4,6,8,10; e000,00,21,R20; R27 YG03

Medusa The inside says: Take two Asps-ins and call me in the morning. (an asp is a type of snake- get it LOL)

medusa insideHEE HEE..I know, not punny at all.

Gotta run.

Good Morning!  I have been busy here in my scrapbook room making lots of cards.  Unfortunately a couple of them I cannot show you until the release date. Boo 😦  But I do have this one featuring a Tiddly Inks image that I just bought with a gift certificate my Mom gave me. What a great Mom I have!!! Love those Wyrn images.

Tiddly Inks Happy Mail

Isn’t she adorable?  I used Copics and for the life of me cannot find the slip of paper that I wrote down which ones I used.  So sorry.

Paper:  Authentique Essentials

Sentiment stamp: Paper smootches

Pearls: Recollections

Heart button is from my stash.

Hope you get lots of happy mail today.

Embossed Get well wishes

Hello again.  Hope your Monday is going well.  Today’s card is a get well card using a combination of both the Joseph’s coat technique as well as th emerging color technique.  There are great tutorials here at Splitcoaststampers for each of these.

I really enjoyed getting inky this weekend.  I am definitely going to play with this technique again.

  • First I laid down color on the craft mat.  Barn Door, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans, in that order.
  • Then I took the stamp Leafy Glade from Stampin Up.  I stamped it into the color, then picked the stamp back up again and stamped it into the color again, just a little lower than the last time.  I then did this once more but this time placing the stamp down higher in the color slightly.  This blends the colors slightly.
  •  Then I spritzed the stamps slightly with water and stamped it onto white cardstock.
  •  I then placed the Stampin Up stamp Definitely Decorative Daisy (the fill in stamp) into versamark ink and stamped it onto the Leafy Glade stamped image.
  • I embossed the flowers with clear embossing powder and heat set it.
  •   I then used the Black Soot ink pad and rubbed it over the entire thing.  When it was completely filled I used a damp paper towel to remove the black from the embossed flowers.
  • I then used to Labels 8 die to cut out  a portion of the sheet and mounted it on red card stock cut by hand using the outside edge of the Labels 8 die.  I tied Offray top stitch orange ribbon  into a bow.  I used a Stampin’ up punch and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up- Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  I then mounted this all onto a white card that I embossed with my polka dot cuttlebug embossing folder.

I love that the embossing almost makes the flowers look dewy.

Thank you for looking.

Hi Ya’ll .  Today I have a fun little card for you.  I thought that this stamp set was hilarious.  The real funny thing, well not so funny really, is that I made this card for a sketch challenge and now I can’t seem to find the challenge to submit it to.  hmm I’m getting old.  Sigh!  Anywho, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Welcome to Jazzydoodle Designs

I started this blog because my spoiled little companion got tired of me waking her from her nap to look at what I created. And frankly, her response of “not as cute as I am…can I have a treat?” was not very helpful nor gratifying.

I hope you find some enjoyment, knowledge or just plain relief from your boredom while looking.

So now I am a blogger with a dogger.
