I CASED a couple of these cards.  The Lovely as a tree rustic card was CASED from http://glendasblog.com/01/07/hardwood-and-lovely-as-a-tree/    the Poinsettia was CASED from http://sweetpeasamplings.blogspot.com/2011/12/winding-down.html  and the blue Lovely as a tree from Wizards Hangout . Also the festive flurries card was from a card on pinterest.  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/149604018847593364   I tried to find it on the posters blog but couldn’t .  I would like to thank them for the inspiration.

I also use Deconstructing Jen for sketch inspiration.  If you haven’t already, check her out.

Much love this holiday season.

Hello again.  Hope your Monday is going well.  Today’s card is a get well card using a combination of both the Joseph’s coat technique as well as th emerging color technique.  There are great tutorials here at Splitcoaststampers for each of these.

I really enjoyed getting inky this weekend.  I am definitely going to play with this technique again.

  • First I laid down color on the craft mat.  Barn Door, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans, in that order.
  • Then I took the stamp Leafy Glade from Stampin Up.  I stamped it into the color, then picked the stamp back up again and stamped it into the color again, just a little lower than the last time.  I then did this once more but this time placing the stamp down higher in the color slightly.  This blends the colors slightly.
  •  Then I spritzed the stamps slightly with water and stamped it onto white cardstock.
  •  I then placed the Stampin Up stamp Definitely Decorative Daisy (the fill in stamp) into versamark ink and stamped it onto the Leafy Glade stamped image.
  • I embossed the flowers with clear embossing powder and heat set it.
  •   I then used the Black Soot ink pad and rubbed it over the entire thing.  When it was completely filled I used a damp paper towel to remove the black from the embossed flowers.
  • I then used to Labels 8 die to cut out  a portion of the sheet and mounted it on red card stock cut by hand using the outside edge of the Labels 8 die.  I tied Offray top stitch orange ribbon  into a bow.  I used a Stampin’ up punch and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up- Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  I then mounted this all onto a white card that I embossed with my polka dot cuttlebug embossing folder.

I love that the embossing almost makes the flowers look dewy.

Thank you for looking.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

I know that Valentine’s day is over but I just couldn’t resist this image from Heidi Schwoerer at 2cuteink.  She has some very fun images, in fact I will be posting another one of her images tomorrow.  Anyway, I turned this card into a friendship card with a quote from Maya Angelou. “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did.  But people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Good Morning!  Just a quick little card today.

Simple Stampin' up thank you

Close up close up simple stampin' up

I used Stampin’ Up card stock in I believe they call it crumb cake, I call it Kraft.  I used the triple treat flower stamp set.  I stamped it first on Ivory card stock twice- first with Memento desert sand and then with Memento rich cocoa.  I then punched out the rich cocoa with Stampin’ up punches five petal punch.  I punched out the desert sand image with the Fancy flower punch.  I then layered the rich cocoa on top of the desert sand image and adhered them with a corduroy brad from Fancy Pants.  I used the short and sweet stamp set for the sentiment. Ribbon is Offray 1 inch grosgrain in Mudpie.

Inside says: Two Little words that come with such gratitude.

Thanks for looking.

Welcome to Jazzydoodle Designs

I started this blog because my spoiled little companion got tired of me waking her from her nap to look at what I created. And frankly, her response of “not as cute as I am…can I have a treat?” was not very helpful nor gratifying.

I hope you find some enjoyment, knowledge or just plain relief from your boredom while looking.

So now I am a blogger with a dogger.
