Remembrance
Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one’s heart.
The years may wipe out many things
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times
When we were all together.

When you are sorrowful
look into your heart
and you shall see that
you are weeping
for that which has been
your delight

I miss you Aunt Jan-Jan…we all do.
Oh, Wendy what a lovely post.
Lots of hugs,
Florence x
Thank you for your hugs. They were appreciated. Hugs back. Wendy
What a lovely poem! Sorry to hear your aunt died. She seems a very kind lady on the picture. In your pictures you look a lot like her. I wish you strength to adjust to her not being here anymore.
Hugs Anne
Thanks Anne for your well wishes. It was actually the one year anniversary of her death. Growing up everyone always thought I was her daughter. We were very close.
What a lovely poem and dedication. You can always tell when someone was so loved by the way others remember them. Big hugs to you!
